Can you believe we're now halfway through 2024? June marks the perfect time to revisit and reflect on the artistic resolutions we set back in January. Whether you're on track with your goals or facing unexpected challenges, this mid-year check-in is an opportunity to reassess, realign, and recharge.

Reflecting on Your Vision

At the start of the year, we focused on defining our artistic visions. Did you aim to master a new technique, launch a personal project, or delve into new creative realms? Take a moment to reflect on your initial goals and the progress you've made. Have your priorities shifted? If so, embrace the changes and adjust your vision to reflect your current aspirations.

Celebrating Progress and Achievements

Breaking down our goals into smaller, manageable steps was a strategy to make our creative journeys more approachable. Celebrate your victories, no matter how small they seem. Each step forward is a testament to your dedication and creativity. What milestones have you achieved? What accomplishments are you proud of?

For me, launching and growing my Etsy store and attending a bi-monthly Sunday market has been incredibly tough but rewarding. I've not done so good on my goal of creating one dog painting/drawing each month.  However, I have completed a few new greeting card illustrations, and am working on three new mini-collections of designs. These achievements keep me inspired and motivated to continue pushing forward.

Exploring New Mediums and Styles

Diversifying our artistic palettes was a key resolution. Exploring new mediums, themes, and styles can enhance our creativity and open new avenues for self-expression. Have you tried any new techniques or styles? What discoveries have you made? Share your experiences with our creative community.  I have been honing my skills by learning how to draw and paint in Procreate.  (Procreate is an app I use for creating on my Ipad).  

Staying Inspired

Staying inspired is crucial, especially when facing creative blocks.
